Wissahickon Valley Public Library is 34% away from reaching its $7,000 fundraising goal for renovations as it ramps up to celebrate its Centennial anniversary on April 28.

As of Monday afternoon, the library’s Silent Auction Fundraiser is at $4,671 of the $7,000 goal, according to its RallyUP campaign site.

The silent auction runs now until April 28 at 6 p.m. The library will hold a 100th Celebration from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. the same day at its Blue Bell branch.

Tickets for the celebration are $40 and are available to buy at the library circulation desk. According to the library, guests to the gala will sample local food, beer and wine, bid on the auction, and will have the opportunity to bring a treasured book for an informal evaluation.
