Ambler man makes way up all-time Villanova Performance List for Track and Field

A junior distance runner from Ambler recently clinched ninth place in Villanova University history in the 5000 meters during the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, according to university athletics.

A junior distance runner from Ambler recently clinched ninth place in Villanova University history in the 5000 meters during the Raleigh Relays in North Carolina, according to university athletics.

Devon Comber beat his personal best record by 20 seconds, per the report, to come in with an event time of 13:45.90. At that time, it was his first race at the Duke Invitational, per the report.

According to the school, Comber now is ranked ninth in the Villanova all-time performance list for collegiate event, where he also broke eight minutes in the 3000 meters outdoors.
