Devon Comber beat his personal best record by 20 seconds, per the report, to come in with an event time of 13:45.90. At that time, it was his first race at the Duke Invitational, per the report.
According to the school, Comber now is ranked ninth in the Villanova all-time performance list for collegiate event, where he also broke eight minutes in the 3000 meters outdoors.
