Area first responders had their hands full on Wednesday afternoon after a strong line of storms brought heavy winds and rain across the region.

A portion of Plymouth Road being closed between Morris Road and Lantern Lane in Whitpain Township after a fallen tree struck a vehicle and pulled down utility lines.
A large fallen tree forced the closure of Schoolhouse Lane between Dekalb Pike and South Penn Oak Road in Lower Gwynedd Township.
A portion of Thoreau Road was closed due to a large fallen tree near the intersection with Welsh Road.
Additionally, there were reports of minor flooding on roads and walking paths across the area, as well as visible debris and downed branches across the Wissahickon region.
