Lower Gwynedd Police Department’s Community Response Unit has announced the details for their second-annual Touch a Truck event, which will be held next month at the old Siemen’s Corp. property on Sumneytown Pike.
The free event is scheduled for May 18 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with a sensory-friendly, no-noise hour from 11 a.m. to noon. Children and guests will be given a hands-on opportunity to explore “larger than life” vehicles, including myriad first response and construction vehicles.
This year’s event is in partnership with the Do Better for Steve Foundation, who will also have an informational table at the event. All proceeds from the Touch a Truck event will go directly to the foundation, per the organizers.
Any questions should be directed to Sgt. William Henry at 215-646-5303 ext. 335 or via email to whenry@lowergwynedd.org.
The old Siemen’s Corp. property is located at 1201 Sumneytown Pike in Spring House.
