For the first time since the pandemic lockdowns of 2020, Wissahickon School District held their annual Poetry Slam on Thursday night at the high school.

The event was hosted by the Wissahickon’s Poetry Club in collaboration with Celebrating All Students Achievement. Six students competed across three rounds, with judging being centered on both content and performance.

The final round featured a competition between Hannah Kim and Belle Ragazzo, with Kim winning the competition by one point. With the win, Kim received a free three month Spotify Premium subscription, along with 50 free wings from Maple Glen Tavern and a $50 gift card to Dettera in Ambler. And in recognition of being a finalist, Ragazzo received a $50 gift card to Panache Woodfire Grill and a set of journals and pens.
