The Upper Dublin African American and Black Students and Families committee held their annual Food Truck Festival on Thursday night, featuring a mix of cuisine, local businesses, raffles, first responders, and more.

Organizer Nikki Benson-Watlington said she put the event together at the high school to try to build Black and local allies, as well as promote diversity and culture. Many of the food trucks and vendors involved in the event were Black-owned businesses, along with other community members and businesses.

“Build bridges, not walls,” Benson-Watlington said.

The event also featured displays from the Upper Dublin Police Department, local fire companies and a DJ.
