Upper Dublin Police said that a team of four teens worked together to commit a retail theft of goods totaling more than $3,600 from Lululemon in Dresher.
According to police reports, on Sunday, July 21, a call from the Hatboro Police Department requested the services of the Upper Dublin Township Police Department as a retail theft was in progress at the Lululemon shop in the Promenade at Upper Dublin, 1104 Market St., in Dresher. The report was called in around 2:54 p.m.
Four suspects were described to the Upper Dublin police, as reports noted that the four had taken Lululemon merchandise and “fled from the store.” Upper Dublin police said they located the alleged suspects at the Wawa across the street from the Promenade.
Isaiah Marquise Person, 19, Wendy Marcus Bertresse,18, and Ky’sem Humphrey, 18, were identified, according to reports, along with one juvenile male, whose name was not released as he is a minor, at the scene. When stopped, Horsham Police, who also aided in the incident, said that Humphrey attempted to flee on foot, but was tased.
Police said that Person was found in possession of a black Nike backpack, which contained a Pace Breaker Jogger, valued at $128, a License to Train hooded shirt, valued at $118, and a Fast and Free running hat, valued at $38.
Per reports, Humphrey was carrying a red and black duffel bag with the minor’s last name printed on it. Inside, police said he carried seven pairs of Pace Breaker Joggers in various size and colors, each valued at $128. He also had inside the bag Pace Breaker pants ($128), three License to Train joggers ($128 each), grey Surge joggers ($118), Zeroed In slim-fit pants ($98), a License to Train hooded shirt ($118), Pace Breaker shorts 5” ($78), and Pace Breaker shorts 7” ($68).
Police said that Bertresse was in possession of a white Nike bag, which included inside a License to Train hooded shirt ($118), Mist Over windbreaker ($128), License to Train hooded shirt ($118), and Pace Breaker joggers ($128).
A grey Under Armour bag police said was carried by the minor contained three High Rise tennis skirts ($68 each), three Mist Over windbreakers ($128 each), a Defined jacket ($118), and a Pace Breaker joggers ($128).
Police said that, while inventorying the property, tags were recovered from a black pair of Pace Breaker joggers, valued at $128 from Person’s property. Reports noted that another pair of pants were located with keys and other personal items in the pockets, and that Person was wearing a brand-new pair of Lululemon Pace Breaker joggers when arrested. The pants he was wearing were also taken by police.
In total, the items among the four suspects totaled $3,626. According to court documents, Humphrey is charged with seven counts of felony retail theft/taking merchandise and one misdemeanor count of evading arrest or detention on foot. A preliminary hearing is slated for Aug. 16 at noon with Magisterial District Judge Douglas H. Lavenberg.
Bertresse was charged with four counts of retail theft/taking merchandise and two counts of receiving stolen property. An unsecured bond of $5,000 was set on July 22. A preliminary hearing is also set for Bertresse for Aug. 16 before the same court.
Person was charged with four counts of felony retail theft and four counts of receiving stolen property. He is also held on an unsecured $5,000 bond and will be before the same court on Aug. 16.
