The Immaculata Director of Athletics and Recreation Paul Murphy recently announced the hiring of Beth Bernabeo as the new assistant athletic director for NCAA Compliance and Student-Athlete Success.

The adjunct faculty member in Public Health and Social Work at Gwynedd Mercy University, who also served as a teacher of Research Method and Capstone to graduate students at St. Joesph’s University in the Master of Healthcare Administration program, Bernabeo also worked previously at Immaculata with a decade of time as an adjunct professor in the Sociology Department.

It isn’t all about teaching, as Bernabeo is passionate about her athletic side, as well. She’s served as the head varsity tennis coach for both the boys’ and girls’ teams at Radnor High School and competes herself in the United States Tennis Association (USTA), which has a Middle States section based in Valley Forge.

Bernabeo is a resident of Wayne, where she lives with her husband and their three children and two small dogs. She is an MPH graduate from Temple University, as well as a psychology and pre-medicine grad from Bucknell University.

“We are so excited for Beth to join our team,” said Paul Murphy, Director of Athletics and Recreation in a release from Immaculata. “Her experience in higher education along with her vast athletic background will blend perfectly with the Immaculata vision.”
