North Penn Now, Wissahickon Now, Perk Valley Now, and Central Bucks Now announced today the launch of its inaugural Best of the Burbs contest. The Best of the Burbs celebrates various businesses and services that enhance the communities in which we live. Our towns offer vibrancy, vitality, and skill, and it is high time the best of the best are acknowledged. And who is a better judge of those “Bests” than our community’s own residents. We are the people that play the starring role in shaping the community’s cultural, social, and economic fabric.

Today’s launch begins the Nomination Round, which will continue through Sept. 13. In this process, any person can nominate a favorite community business spanning across 140+ categories, through any of the participating news websites. The categories will include Around Town, Culture & Entertainment, Food & Drink, Health & Wellness, Children & Families, Pets, Services, and Shopping.

North Penn Now, Wissahickon Now, Perk Valley Now, and Central Bucks Now invite all readers to participate in both nominations, and later, in voting, lending support to your favorites. The final results, to be announced following voting closure in early November, promise to be an exciting moment of revelation that both nominees and the entire region eagerly anticipate.

Voting for our finalist nominees will begin Oct. 7. Nominees are currently open at https://best-of-the-burbs--northpennnow.contest.vote

“We are proud and excited to bring this new program to suburban Philadelphia,” said Jim McDonald, CEO and founder of Access Network, the parent company of NorthPennNow.com, WissNow.com, PerkValleyNow.com and CentralBucksNews.com. “Our local news sites cover the key happenings in the community every day of the year. We want to recognize the best local businesses that help create such a great place to live and a destination for visitors.  They make our communities such a special place to be.”

Be sure to promote your local favorites by nominating them today!
