More than 100 seniors joined Pennsylvania State Senator Maria Collett, who represents portions of Montgomery County, at Generations on Indian Valley on Friday, Aug.16 for her annual Senior Health Fair.
"It is essential that the resources Pennsylvania’s older adults need to live full, healthy lives are accessible to them. I’m grateful to each of our Senior Health Fair vendors and our generous hosts at Generations of Indian Valley for making that a reality,” Senator Collett said. “As a nurse and the Chair of the Senate Aging & Youth Committee, I look forward to continuing to connect with aging folks from across my district and fighting to ensure every Pennsylvanian can age with dignity.”
During the event, community members had the opportunity to explore more than 20 local health and wellness vendors, meet with Giant pharmacists to get up to date on their vaccinations – including Shingles, RSV, the Flu, Pneumonia, and Hepatitis B – and receive a variety of free health screenings from DeSales University Doctor of Physical Therapy program students.
Senator Collett and her team host mobile office hours and events year-round to support seniors across the 12th District. More details can be found on the Senator’s events webpage.
