The Pennsylvania State Police have released information regarding a vehicle striking a deer while traveling on the interstate earlier this week.
The accident occurred on Saturday, Nov. 16 around 1:40 a.m. in Whitpain Township. State Police arrived at the scene to find a driver, who was not injured, near his 2018 Hyundai Elantra. The driver had struck a deer while traveling in the left lane of Interstate 476 southbound near mile marker A23.
Police said that the vehicle struck a deer causing disabling damage near milepost A23 but continued to travel to A20 before coming to a final rest near the split of 476 South and the ramp to Interstate 276 East.
According to police reports, the driver was not injured and was wearing a lap and shoulder belt.
