Driver is reportedly unconscious, slumped over the wheel

Whitpain Township residents could hear a car horn alerting them to the incident today along Township Line Road.

According to county dispatch records, calls came in around 12:17 p.m. in the 400 block of Township Line Road in Whitpain Township for a vehicle accident with injuries. 

Early reports from the scene noted that a driver had run into a tree, and would likely need emergency medical services. A witness at the scene said that the driver appeared to be unconscious, with the driver's head resting on the steering wheel.

Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene for assistance, but the condition of the driver has not yet been disclosed. More information will be posted as it is made available. 

Responding to the scene were units from Whitpain Township Police, Centre Square Fire Company, Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, and Harmonville Fire Company, among other first responders.
