The Blue Bell-based Unisys has a lot to brag about in just the last few weeks. The announcements should make for a very bright holidays for its employees.
Firstly, the Unisys Corporation was recognized recently by “Forbes” magazine as being one of America’s Best Employers for Engineers in 2025. The list of the country’s best was released in late November.

The IT Software and Services company has been headquartered in Blue Bell since 1986. In total, it has over 150 years of history. Its offices are located at 801 Lakeview Drive in Blue Bell, Whitpain Township.
Additionally, on Dec. 5, the company announced new leadership as Mike Thompson as its new CEO. Thompson will take the position, moving from his current role as president and COO, to CEO, succeeding Peter Altabef, effective April 1, 2025. Also, effective April 1, Thomson will join the company's Board and will retain his current title as President. Altabef, currently Chair and CEO, will continue as Chair of the Board, according to a release on the matter.

"He is a proven executive who has exceptional leadership qualities and the experience to continue to advance our company. As our President and COO, Mike has helped shape and execute the strategies that have driven our strong ongoing performance, and he has a proven track record of operational excellence – both at Unisys and in other roles throughout his career – that position him well for the company's next chapter. Mike's passion for Unisys and the work we do for our clients, his authentic leadership, and deep knowledge of the business will make him an excellent CEO."
Thompson said he is pleased to take on the new position.
