Blaze started in garage and spread to house
One person was taken to a hospital in unknow condition Saturday night after a house fire in Ambler.
Fire department responded to a garage fire at the 300 block of Belmomt Avenue in Ambler at 8:51p,m, Saturday night. The fire spread to the first floor of the two-story home connected to the garage.
As of 9 p,m, radio traffic indicated there was one person in the house. At 9:20, radio traffic indicated one person had been taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
Firefighters had the fire mostly put down buy 9:20, with firefighters still on the scen to deal with remaining hotspots.
Units from Center Square, Flowertown, North Penn, Wissahickon, Fort Washington and Oreland fire companies and Ambler EMS responded.
As of 9:30 Glen Mawr Ave. was closed.
