One person rescued from vehicle Christmas morning

A vehicle went off the roadway on a ramp to I-276 East

At least one person was rescued from their vehicle Christmas morning just before 11 in Upper Dublin Township.

Emergency crews were called out to the I-276 Eastbound to Route 309 ramp after one vehicle was reported to have gone off the roadway. 

Arriving crews encountered a black four-door sedan, on its side, off the roadway, and down an embankment.

    By James Short  Firefighters were able to remove the driver from the car safely, and the condition of the occupant is unknown at this time. 

The ramp was reduced to one lane while crews processed the scene. It’s unknown what caused the accident at this time.  

Harmonville Fire Company was assisted at the scene by Fort Washington Fire Company, Upper Moreland Fire Company, Plymouth Community Ambulance Association, and Horsham Fire Company Ambulance.
