Three patients were transported from the scene of a two-vehicle accident with rescue Friday morning at Horsham and Stump roads in Montgomery Township via VMSC Emergency Medical Services, Community Ambulance Association of Ambler, and Horsham Fire Co. Ambulance.
Around 9:32 a.m., police and fire personnel were dispatched for a report of a crash involving a red Mazda crossover over an embankment, with a rear passenger trapped, per Montgomery County emergency dispatch reports. A black sedan sustained heavy front-end damage, per reports.
Another patient suffered a reported leg injury, per reports.
Avoid the area and find alternative routes, as Stump Road remains closed between Horsham Road and the entrance to the Montgomery Township Recreation Center.
Horsham Road is open, but southbound lanes are reduced to one lane at Stump Road.
Fire Department of Montgomery Township, Montgomery Township Police, Fairmount Fire Police, and North Penn Vol. Fire Co. assisted at the scene. Colmar Fire Rescue and Horsham Fire assisted as well.
