Gwynedd Mercy University works to stay on the cutting edge, preparing students for the reality of the future workplace. The school’s offerings mimic the needs of the industries the students will soon face.

To that end, its Respiratory Care Program was recently recognized by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC) with its Apex Award, according to a report by Mark Hostutler.

The award is only given to institutions that “demonstrate best practices within the field of respiratory care to deliver high-quality patient care,” said the report.

“Receiving the Apex Award from the AARC is a testament to the hard work of our faculty members and students within the Respiratory Care program,” said Randy Solly, GMercyU’s Respiratory Care Program Coordinator, told Hostutler. “Only two percent of programs across the nation receive this award, and we are honored to be one of them.”

For the full report on this honor, visit Hostutler’s report here or view the video created by the college below.
