One ambulance called to a car vs. pole accident on Bethlehem Pike Friday afternoon

A one-vehicle accident with injuries was reported in Upper Dublin Township on Friday afternoon. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

According to initial reports, a driver struck a pole in the area of the Wawa, near the 100 block of South Bethlehem Pike in the Ambler area of the township around 2:12 p.m. Friday, Dec. 27. The driver was unconscious at the scene, according to witnesses there.

The Community Ambulance Association of Ambler among other first responders were called to the scene to assist the driver and any other persons involved. The condition of the driver was not released at this time.

More information will be posted as it is made available. At this time, those traveling in the area are asked to avoid the 100 block of South Bethlehem Pike.
