If you are a fan of chips and salsa, flavorful margaritas, and freshly created Mexican flavors, you probably aren’t a stranger to Cantina Feliz in Fort Washington. A staple of Whitemarsh Township since 2011, this long-time restaurant is about to close its doors. But don’t worry. Your Mexican cravings will be satisfied soon with a new location in Ambler.

Brandon Franklin, manager of the Fort Washington hot spot, says that the location will officially close on July 13. The opening day for the new Ambler location is not yet set, but the owners hope to have it up and running by the end of August.

Franklin said that the same great flavors will continue in tradition at the new Ambler space, as the menus will remain the same. Cantina Feliz will remain open at 424 S. Bethlehem Pike in Fort Washington through Saturday service, closing its doors at the usual 9:30 p.m. time.

Cantina Feliz will reopen in Ambler once the site is ready. It will occupy the previously held space of The Lucky Well, 111 E. Butler Ave., Ambler. If you absolutely must have the great tastes of Cantina Feliz before the new Ambler spot opens, the restaurant boasts another sister location at 2321 Fairmount Ave., Philadelphia. Both spaces are open for lunch, dinner, happy hour, and weekend brunch.
