The Whitpain Community Festival, slated for Saturday, Sept. 28 from noon to 4 p.m. on the Montgomery County Community College campus, is seeking interested vendors to take part in the day’s events. Vendor spots, which measure a 10-foot-by-10-foot space, are available for $50 each.

The event will include a day filled with games, shopping, good music, and great food, according to the Whitpain Parks and Recreation website for the event. Paper forms can be found on the site, and registration can be done by printing out the form or online. Payments should only be made on the site, and the department warns vendors that any other website could potentially be a scam.

Those of all ages throughout the community are invited to attend. There will be no charge for entry. Cash is preferred for shopping and some vendors. Few will take cards.

From noon to 4 p.m., the vendors will be active, with a Health Expo, pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pony rides, hayrides, children’s games, a rock wall, and food trucks all on-hand. From 2 to 8 p.m., a Beer Garden will invite those 21 and over for cold beverages.

Live music will be going on from 2:30 to 8 p.m., with fireworks slated for 8:15 p.m. Those interested in becoming a food vendor can email park&rec@whitpaintownship.org.

Spaces for vendors will remain $50 until Sept. 1. From Sept. 1 to 20, spaces will go up to $75 each. Any additional space requested after the first will be $25. Nonprofit organizations are $25. Political organizations, candidates, and elected officials will not be considered “nonprofit.” Tables, chairs, tents, and canopies are not provided, though vendors are welcome to bring them along. The deadline to register is Sept. 18.

Once registered, vendors will receive an email by Sept. 20, which will provide check-in times, start times (which will range from 9:30 to 11 a.m.), your booth number, vendor map, and parking/unloading instructions. Vehicles will not be permitted in the vendor area. All will be asked to follow traffic patterns and speed limits on campus.

No rain date is planned for the event. If the festival is canceled due to inclement weather, vendors will receive a credit toward next year’s event. No refunds, cancellations, or no-shows are permitted.  You can see more information and follow the news on the event’s Facebook page.

A vendor registration form is available on the department’s site. Forms can be printed and mailed to:

                        Whitpain Township Parks and Recreation

                        960 Wentz Road

with a check made payable to Whitpain Township.
