Motorcyclist airlifted following multi-vehicle crash on Morris Road

A man was hospitalized Saturday evening following a multi-vehicle crash on Morris Road in Worcester Township.

The crash occurred at 6:16 p.m. on June 1 on Morris Road at the intersection with Schultz Road in Worcester Township. The crash involved a dark blue Ford pickup truck and a red Ducati motorcycle, with the truck coming to a stop on the side of Shultz Road and the motorcycle lying in the middle of the intersection.

Initial dispatch reports indicated the motorcyclist was bleeding but conscious and alert, however arriving emergency medical personnel reported the man was unconscious and bleeding when they arrived. A medevac was called to the scene, landing at the nearby Merrymead Farm, and the man was airlifted to Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia in critical condition, according to sources at the scene.

The cause of the crash, as well as the man’s current condition, are currently unknown.

Responding units included Pennsylvania State Police, Upper Gwynedd Police, Upper Gwynedd Fire Department, Worcester Fire Company, Skippack EMS, and Plymouth Community Ambulance Association.
