An Elkins Park woman is facing charges after she allegedly refused to leave a dental clinic in Upper Dublin, exposed herself to police, staff and customers, and made a racial slur towards a doctor at the facility.

Lashanae Scott, 32, was arrested on May 20 and charged with misdemeanor counts of defiant trespassing, indecent exposure, harassment, terroristic threats, and disorderly conduct, stemming from an alleged incident at Clear Choice Dental Implant Center along the 500 block of Office Center Drive. She is currently free on 10% of $10,000 cash bail.

Police were dispatched to the clinic at 7:56 a.m. for a report of an irate customer who was arguing with staff and refusing to leave. Arriving police made contact with staff, who said the customer — identified as Scott — was in a rear office area and had calmed down some, but it was the fourth instance where she had gone into the office screaming and using profanities, and they did not want her on location, according to the criminal complaint.

Police said they spoke with Scott for several minutes, at which point she attempted to gain access to the main office area. When police prevented Scott from going through the door, she allegedly began screaming, cursing, and threatening the officers and staff members, the report states.

Scott was quoted in the affidavit as saying, “I’ll beat everybody’s f---ing ass, everybody will get their ass whooped,” as well as “You got bail money? Cause I’m going to jail” while on the phone with her husband. She also threatened to return to the office the next day, adding, “I’ll be back here every ass day. I’m about to eat all these motherf---ers,” according to charging documents.

She also made a racial slur towards one of the doctors at the clinic, police said.

The report states Scott repeatedly ignored commands to leave the office, and police had to physically prevent her from going into the rear office area where the staff members were. She eventually walked out into the public hallway, at which point she allegedly lifted up her shirt and yelled “I’ll kill you. I hope your f---ing grandma dies. I’m going to kill everybody in here,” police said.

Scott then pulled her pants down, exposed her genitals and backside, bent over, made lewd statements and threatened to return, according to police.

In total, it took police 37 minutes to get Scott to leave the facility, according to the complaint. She was subsequently placed under arrest, investigators said.

Court records show Scott was initially taken to the Montgomery County Correctional Facility in lieu of 10% of $10,000 cash bail, however bail was posted on May 28 and she was freed from custody.

Her next court appearance is a preliminary hearing on June 21 at 10 a.m. in front of Magisterial District Judge Douglas Lavenberg.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using court records and the affidavit of probable cause.
