After a long career with Whitpain Township, with stints as township engineer, assistant manager, and ultimately township manager, Roman Pronczak officially retired on June 4.
A large contingent of friends, family, and staff members were joined by current and former township supervisors to celebrate Roman’s career at last week’s board meeting.
“It’s been a pleasure to work for the people of Whitpain Township for the last 28 years, and a true honor to serve as manager for the last 13,” Pronczak said. “I had the good fortune to work with many supportive township supervisors and a tremendous group of township staff members for nearly three decades. I am extremely grateful to have had the opportunity to serve such a wonderful community.”
Pronczak was presented with commemorative gifts and honored with a citation from the state House of Representatives and a proclamation from the Whitpain Township Board of Supervisors.
The board also renamed the large meeting room at the township building to “The Pronczak Room.”
