  • Things To Do

As it has in prior years, the township of Lower Gwynedd will be hosting its very own Fall Fest. Slated for Saturday, Sept. 21 from noon to 5 p.m., the bustling event is likely to attract many surrounding residents.

“We have a wide variety of crafters, food trucks, and an amazing line-up of bands,” said Sandi L. Feight-Hicks, recreation director for the township.

And, while the robust schedule will be sure to interest those of all ages, there are vendor spaces remaining. Interested vendors, food trucks, or sponsors can visit the township’s website here. This year’s event will be hosted along Houston Road and will include over 100 vendors. From local businesses to artisans and nonprofit organizations, there is already a wide variety of spots committed to the day’s events.

“Our community sponsors are the foundation of our event,” said Feight-Hicks. “This year, we’ve added more variety to our sponsorship levels.”

Depending on your donation, sponsorship will include features such as logo additions, fall newsletter inclusion, addition to the township website, promotion on social media on township channels, addition to street and thank-you banners, announcements during the live event, and even yard signs displayed at Fall Fest. You can learn more about sponsorship levels here.

Those hoping to become vendors for the Fall Fest must complete an application by Aug. 31. The proposed vendor must be admitted by the township manager via written approval. The fees for vendors that are considered crafters (or those who “make handcrafted decorative or functional items that demonstrate quality of craftsmanship”) will be charged $25 for the space. All other vendors not selling craft goods will have a $50 fee.

All vendors must submit items for sale for pre-approval by the Fall Fest Committee. Photos submitted will not be returned. All vendors must charge the 6% state sales tax. No commercially purchased merchandise, kit work, flea market items, novelties, current hot trends or fad toys, antiques, or food/beverage products will be allowed for sale by an art or craft vendor.

Vendors will be permitted to set up at 10 a.m. on the day of the event, while breakdown will begin at 5 p.m., the event’s conclusion time. While there is no rain date for Fall Fest, there is an indoor plan should the weather not cooperate. For more details, visit the Fall Fest vendor’s page here.
