The sports entertainment website released a bracket last week via Instagram to determine the worst Wawa lot in the City of Philadelphia and its suburbs.
The Spring House Wawa parking lot must, according to Barstool Philly voters, not be that bad of a parking lot after all – but only when compared to the Wawa on Germantown Avenue.
Barstool Philly released a bracket last week to determine the worst Wawa lot in the City of Philadelphia and its suburbs. All in all, there are 64 Wawas "competing” in four brackets named after the four Philadelphia sports mascots.
Unfortunately, the Spring House Wawa at 752 North Bethlehem Pike – referred to as #43 Ambler in the Phanatic Region – was defeated by Germantown Avenue in the first round (Round 64) of the contest. Germantown Avenue Wawa’s lot also defeated the Aramingo Avenue Wawa in Round 32.
In Round 16, which ended Wednesday, Germantown Avenue was facing off against the parking lot of the Lafayette Hill Wawa, according to its website.
Round 8 voting begins Friday. The victor of Germantown Avenue vs Lafayette Hill will face the victor of Richmond Street versus Hamilton Street in the quarterfinals.
Voting can only be done via Barstool Philly’s Instagram story and then clicking on the address on each slide, according to Glenside Local.
In the other brackets, the Swoop Region consists of most of the Wawas at the shore. As of Wednesday, OCNJ 34th Street Wawa was facing off against the Stone Harbor Wawa lot, and the Absecon Wawa lot was facing off against the Sea Isle City Wawa lot.
Over in the Gritty Region, which is mainly Delaware and Delco Wawas, the Holmes Wawa is battling the 69th Street Wawa, and the Saxer Avenue Wawa is facing off with the W Chester Pike Wawa lot.
Finally, the Franklin Region, which is most of Mongomery County and the outlying area, is a showdown between North Wales Borough and Bala Cynwyd, and East Stroudsburg and Crawford Avenue.
