A Wissahickon High School student has been awarded a $2,500 scholarship as a National Merit Scholarship winner, Wissahickon School District announced last week.
Kevin Lobo, per the school, plans to study computer science in the future.
Other finalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program from Wissahickon School District include Nathan Antonio, Ava Luu, Olivia Seo, Tiffany Liu, Anoosha Shukla and Ashley Park. The school said on Twitter that they were among 15,000 students nationwide to receive the honor of finalist.
Lobo is one of more than 7,000 students nationwide who will receive the scholarships, selected from an eligibility pool of 1.5 million students.
