UPPER DUBLIN FIRE

Firefighters were dispatched to the 500 block of Morris Road in Upper Dublin Township for a report of a home on fire.

First responders are currently at the scene of a residential fire along the 500 block of Morris Road in Upper Dublin Township.

Crews were dispatched to the scene near the intersection with Willow Lane at 2:15 p.m. for a report of a building fire. Initial radio dispatch indicated a man was yelling for help, and there were two dogs inside the two-story home.

Firefighters encountered heavy smoke in the area upon arrival, according to dispatch traffic. Reports indicate the fire was placed under control at 2:47 p.m.

It’s currently unclear if there are any injuries.

Responding units include Wissahickon Fire Company, Flourtown Fire Company, Centre Square Fire Company, Fort Washington Fire Company, and other area first response agencies.

The scene is active at this time and motorists are encouraged to avoid the area.
