Ambler Police have issued a public warning about vehicles that are parked against traffic.

In the release, made via their Crimewatch page, police said the issue of “parking against the movement of traffic” has become an issue in the borough, and they will begin enforcement against violators beginning July 1.

“We will be giving warning notices to vehicles who are in violation up until June 30,” police said in the release. “This will be done to educate residents on the proper way to park their vehicles.”

Officials said vehicles must be parked in the same direction as the movement of traffic. They also provided a graphic, which can be viewed below, noting the vehicle with the red circle is parked illegally as it’s pointed in opposition to the flow of traffic.

“We hope this provides clarity to everyone to show the proper way to park on borough streets,” police said.

No information was provided regarding potential penalties or fines once the enforcement period begins.
