To ensure local families have resources they need to stay safe and healthy this fall, state Senator Maria Collett (12th District-Montgomery), a registered nurse, hosted her sixth annual Family Health Fair on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Willow Grove YMCA.
“Every one of our families deserves access to the health and wellness tools we need to live full, healthy lives,” Senator Collett said. “My family health fair creates a space where local organizations can connect with neighbors, promote healthy habits, and share resources – all in a fun, family-friendly environment. I'm grateful to our hosts at the Willow Grove Y and our incredible vendors for making this year’s fair a success.”
More than 100 attendees of all ages explored 30+ vendors, including state and county agencies, local nonprofits, mental health organizations and more. Kids enjoyed free face painting, apples from Weavers Way Co-Op of Ambler, vendor giveaways, games, and a visit from Victor Vaccine, the Montgomery County Immunization Coalition mascot.
Independent pharmacy Eric’s RX Shoppe of Horsham provided COVID-19 and Flu shots to keep community members healthy through the winter, including Senator Collett and her family.
