Multiple June retail thefts from The Promenade at Upper Dublin tried to one Philadelphia woman, police said.

The officers of the Upper Dublin Township Police Department have filed felony charges after investigating multiple summer retail thefts from the popular area shops. On Thursday, June 13 around 12:16 p.m., police said that they were dispatched to the Sephora, located at 217 Dryden Road in Dresher for a theft from the week prior. Upon investigating the matter, the police reported the same females were also responsible for a same-day Lululemon incident.

Using surveillance video footage from The Residences at the Promenade, police were able to view that on June 6, around 3:29 p.m., a white Nissan sedan with Pennsylvania tags was seen in a parking spot directly in front of Matsu Sushi, said reports. Around 3:31 p.m., a black female in a white, long-sleeved shirt, bike shorts, and white and black sneakers was seen exiting the Nissan from the front, passenger’s seat, entering into Lululemon, police said. Around 3:32 p.m., just one minute later, the same woman is joined by a black female in a green romper, said reports, as she exited the Nissan, grabbing an “unknown item” from the back seat. Reports stated that the second woman then placed that item over the license plate of the vehicle.

According to police, working in conjunction with the Lululemon Organized Retail Crime Investigator said that a black woman, around 5’3”, weighing around 210 pounds with a large leg tattoo on her right leg, entered the store. The female had the same clothing as seen by the first woman who exited the Nissan from the front, passenger’s side seat, police said. The woman entered the store, and exited around four minutes later, with clothing but passing all points of sale, said reports.

Police said the items stolen included two pairs of leggings valued at $98 each, five women’s jackets valued at $118 each, four women’s shorts valued at $68 each, and two men’s shorts at $68 each, totaling a value of $1,194.

Around 3:36, police said that the white Nissan left the parking spot and proceeded to a spot in front of SmashBurger. Video shows, according to reports, that at 3:37 p.m., the white, long-sleeve shirt woman exited the passenger’s side of the car once again, followed by the green romper-wearing woman, who exited the driver’s side front seat. The romper-wearing woman placed the clothing from the back seat of the car into the trunk, police said. Around 3:39 p.m., the two women walked together toward Sephora, said reports.

The loss prevention officer at Sephora said that the two females came into the store around 3:40 p.m., with the first woman (in white), grabbing a small basket and walking around the store, said reports. The second woman (in green) “stayed at the front of the store and spoke to an employee, while standing by the front door,” reports stated.

The woman in white then left the store with a basket filled with merchandise around 3:44 p.m., passing all points of sale without paying, according to police. The items stolen from Sephora totaled an overall value of $552.26. According to reports, the two women entered the Nissan and around 3:49 p.m., drove out of the shopping center’s lot.

The woman in green was later identified by police as Taneshia Janeane Milner, 21, of the 4500 block of Tolbut Street in Philadelphia. Milner faces felony charges of Conspiracy to commit retail theft by taking merchandise, as well as two misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to receive stolen property. She is held in county jail, unable to post a $5,000 monetary bail.

Milner had a preliminary arraignment on Oct. 18 at 2:30 p.m., and will face a preliminary hearing on Nov. 8 at 11:30 a.m. before Magisterial District Judge Douglas H. Lavenberg.

All suspects and defendants are innocent until proven guilty. This story was compiled using public court records.
