There’s no need to head to the bright lights of Broadway, when the stars are already shining right here on Houston Road. The Wissahickon High School and its skilled fall drama is ready to take to the stage, and area residents are invited along to enjoy it!
The community is invited to check out the talented student actors at Wissahickon High School in the fall drama on Nov. 8 and 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the WHS Auditorium, located at 521 Houston Road, in Ambler. The play, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time,” tells a fun story the entire family can enjoy.
The play will walk guests through the story of a 15-year-old Christopher who has “an extraordinary brain,” said Kristen Rawlings, the Communications Coordinator for the Wissahickon School District.
“He is exceptionally intelligent, but ill-equipped to interpret everyday life,” explained Rawlings. “When he falls under suspicion for killing his neighbor’s dog, he sets out to identify the true culprit, which leads to an earth-shattering discovery and a journey that will change his life forever.”
The story will resonate with many age groups, and, while it creates a spin on the traditional murder mystery, it keeps viewers guessing with its twists and turns.
Tickets may be purchased at the WHS Main Office or at the door ($7 in advance, $10 at the door). The performances will take place on Friday, No. 8 and Saturday, Nov. 9 both at 7:30 p.m.
