The Ambler Borough Police Department is looking for a few good men and women! Do you have what it takes?
The Ambler Borough Civil Service Commission will conduct a physical agility test and written examination on Saturday, Nov. 2 for probationary police officers. The tests will take place at Wissahickon High School, located at 521 Houston Road, in Ambler.
Registration will commence at the day’s start, between 7:30 and 8 a.m. No one will be admitted to the exams after 8 a.m. Applicants must bring a photo identification and two, No. 2 pencils.
No food, drink, or cell phones will be permitted in the testing areas. Applicants are advised to keep phones in their vehicles or at home. Those that pass the physical agility test will be permitted to stay on and immediately take the written portion of the exam.

The test, called the Certified Municipal Police Academy assessment, includes four events. To pass the components, the participant must meet the top 30th percentile. The events are held separately in each gender (with varied standards one must meet, based on gender), based on gender assigned at birth.
