Residents donned their rain jackets and mud boots to get out and enjoy the event, despite the weather

The Whitpain Township Big Rig Roundup had to battle some rainy conditions on Friday, Sept. 27, but did manage to brighten the day with many smiles just the same. Children enjoyed the opportunity to get up close to many first responder vehicles, emergency rescue equipment, and even construction rigs that they typically only see from a distance.

Imaging your own Tonka Trucks coming to life, being seen right before your eyes, and then are told you can even touch it, too! You can image the children's joy!

Getting to sit behind the wheel of some major vehicles surely got the dreams for the future flowing for these lucky kids. The event was held despite the weather, and it was free to enter for all, thanks to the township's sponsorship.
