Be sure your daily commute is not impacted by the upcoming roadwork.

While road work can be a difficulty to your morning commute (or the evening one, too), having the information ahead of time can help you to plan for alternatives. This week, depending on the weather, the residents of Whitpain Township may have to calculate an alternate route as they navigate to and from the workplace.

Whitpain Township recently announced that the road resurfacing projects slated for mid-October will begin today, Monday, Oct. 7. What the township announcement called “prep work” will begin Monday.

On Friday, Oct. 11, the prep work will continue, according to the township. The road resurfacing itself will commence next Monday, Oct. 14.

There are two main roadways slated for the majority of the construction. They will include:

  • Cathcart Road from Skippack Pike to Morris Road
  • Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike from Stenton to Township Line roads

Drivers are asked to use caution in the area if your travels necessitate the use of these roadways.

“The work is highly weather dependent, so changes to the schedule are possible,” said the township’s website announcement. “Residents will have access to their properties with minimal disruption during work time.”
