Veterans visited the Veterans Resource Fair, presented by Montgomery County Recorder of Deeds and Ambler Mayor Jeanne Sorg, on Tuesday at the Greater Plymouth Community Center in Plymouth Township.

Representatives from numerous County offices and departments, such as Veterans Services, Voter Services, Public Health, and Aging Services, were on-hand to discuss the services available to veterans.

“The Montgomery County Veterans Resource Fair is my favorite event of the year,” said Sorg. “I get the opportunity to bring together government programs and services available to our County veterans, all under one roof – soup to nuts. This is public service, and I cannot be happier to serve Montgomery County.”

Veterans also met other elected County officials and obtained information from their offices, including Clerk of Courts Lori Schreiber, Coroner Dr. Janine Darby, Prothonotary Noah Marlier, Register of Wills Tina Lawson, Sheriff Sean Kilkenny, and Treasurer Jason Salus.

The Recorder of Deeds office also recorded military discharge papers and provided veterans with Veterans’ Discount ID cards, which are good for discounts at more than 650 merchants around Montgomery County.

Furthermore, Lansdale RX Pharmacy had a vaccine clinic for veterans with flu, Covid, and RSV vaccines.

The favorite part of the event was the Montgomery County Community College Massage Therapy Program booth, which had free chair massages.

Veterans also visited with representatives from the offices of Congresswoman Madeleine Dean and Congresswoman Mary Gay Scanlon, and the Coatesville VA Medical Center.
