On Saturday, Oct. 5 from 4 to 6:40 p.m., one Ambler church transformed into a stage, as the Korean National Demonstration Team took to the mats to not only show off what they’ve got, but also teach others (blue belt and up) via an educational taekwondo seminar.
The event was hosted at the First Korean Presbyterian Church of Philadelphia, 400 N. Bethlehem Pike in Ambler, this past weekend. The demonstration began at 4 p.m. with a seminar for the students of Sky Martial Arts. The young learners were able to work with the professionals, learn new skills, and practice the art to refine their abilities.
The host, Sky Martial Arts, with locations in North Wales, Dresher, Warrington, and Wayne, offers a variety of classes for all ages.
“Students discover an increased awareness of positive attitude, self-discipline, respect for self and others, confrontation and peer pressure management skills, assertiveness, increased concentration with focus and confidence for better grades and other academic achievements,” read the studio’s website. “Positive attitude is consistently re-enforced through commitment, that all worthwhile goals are achievable. In addition, our program provides a great energy outlet and healthy lifestyle habits, while children meet new friends.”
