Are there really any adults left in the state of Pennsylvania that aren’t sick of the election day ads? From television to online streaming to overstuffed mailboxes, advertising for election day has been in a robust full swing for months now. And, with an unclear outcome for the Keystone State, we’re especially bombarded with political persuasions hoping to earn our vote.

And, while state residents may not agree on red or blue, there’s one thing we can all hope for together (beyond the end of the nonstop ads). Your vote matters. To be sure you are set up correctly for the upcoming day, let’s review some of the important deadlines rapidly approaching.

The final day that area residents can register to vote is Monday, Oct. 21. Montgomery County Voter Services have shared not only the needs and deadlines necessary, but the “how to” of obtaining each, too.

The last day to apply for a mail-in or civilian absentee ballot is Tuesday, Oct. 29. Those hoping to vote by mail will need to choose if theirs is an absentee ballot (i.e. you plan to be out of the municipality on Election Day, have a disability, or illness) or it is a mail-in ballot (can request without reason). Residents that have applied for mail-in ballots in the past, will still need to reapply for a current ballot in this or future elections.

Those seeking secure mail or ballot drop boxes, you can find locations closest to you here. Any change in polling places are listed here. These changes include the communities of Wynnewood, Dresher, Ambler, King of Prussia, and Blue Bell.

If your election- or voter-related question isn’t answered on the county’s Voter Services page, you can also opt to submit a form here

Box 311, Norristown, PA 19404-0311, in care of Montgomery County Voter Services.
