Single-vehicle accident disrupts traffic on Dekalb Pike Wednesday afternoon

A single-vehicle accident Wednesday afternoon on DeKalb Pike near Swedesford Road has disrupted traffic in Lower Gwynedd Township. 

A black BMW sedan sustained severe damage in the crash, sending debris all over the roadway. A street sign was seen lying in the road, and tire marks were visible leading to a damaged utility pole, per reports from the scene.

Montgomery Township Fire Department, Upper Gwynedd Police, Lower Gwynedd Police, North Penn Fire Co., and Wissahickon Fire Co. are on scene.

Community Ambulance Association of Ambler was assessing the driver for injuries at the scene.
