Upper Dublin seeks to fill commission vacancies in coming months

The Upper Dublin Township Board of Commissioners is seeking to fill some empty seats. Several positions are vacant on the township’s committees, and perhaps you can fill a need.

In November, the commissioners will be holding a meeting on Nov. 12, and the board hopes to have a person to fill in on its Human Relations Commission. There are two, three-year terms that will end Nov. 30, 2026.

Applications should be made online by clicking here. All applications must be submitted by Oct. 29, 2024 for consideration at the November stated meeting.

But the spaces don’t stop there. December’s commissioners’ meeting will also include some appointments.

At the Board of Commissioners' stated meeting on Dec. 10, 2024, the board will be appointing members to the following Boards and Commissions, with a total of nine open spots.

• Civil Service Commission – 1 six-year alternate term ending December 31, 2030
• Historical Commission – 3 three-year terms ending December 31, 2027
• Municipal Authority – 1 five-year term ending January 1, 2030
• Pension Boards – 1 one-year term ending December 31, 2025
• Planning Commission – 2 four-year terms ending December 31, 2028
• Vacancy Board – 1 one-year term ending December 31, 2025

The application deadline for the December commission vacancies is Nov. 26, 2024 for consideration at the December stated meeting.
