Drivers should avoid the area from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., if possible
The Lower Gwynedd Township Police Department has issued a traffic advisory courtesy of its Crimewatch page.
According to the department, the area in and around the Wissahickon High School grounds will likely experience traffic congestion on Saturday, Oct. 26, from around 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The congestion is expected as a public, 5K race is scheduled on the grounds.
The “Do Better 4 Steve Fearless 5K” is slated to begin at 9 a.m., with registration beginning prior to the race. For more information on the event, visit the Facebook page here.
