Vintage Halloween
The Loft Whiskey Bar, at Iron Abbey, located at 680 Easton Road, in Horsham, will host a Vintage Halloween all week long. From Monday’s open through Saturday at 11 p.m. the local pub will host vintage Halloween movies on the big screen. For added fun, specialized “spooky cocktails” will be featured with themed drinks and a hefty dose of the Halloween spirit. Romantic Reveries
Abington Middle School will play host to a Nov. 2 concert of the Old York Road Symphony at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. The OYRS, now in its 92nd year of “presenting fine music in Montgomery County,” will play a variety of romantic pieces, including Glinka’s “Waltz Fantasy,” Scriabin’s “Piano Concerto, Op. 20,” Mark Livshits on piano, and Tchaikovsky’s “Symphony No. 5.” Tickets are available online here. Designer Bingo
On Saturday, Nov. 2 from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m., the Brave little Hearts Designer Bingo will be held as its 10th anniversary celebration at The Empress Room, 1489 DeKalb Pike, in Blue Bell. The night of fun and games is to feature “extraordinary prizes,” with designer sections “that will make your heart skip a beat,” such as a 65-inch television, Coach, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade products, and more. Zombie Walk
Lansdale’s annual Zombie Walk returns as part of the November First Friday festivities, starting at 6:30 p.m. Those of all ages are welcome to “stagger down Main Street, eat brains, and win awards!” Come dressed in your scariest or let our makeup artists make you gruesome. Then, stagger with your friends and neighbors down Main Street, learn the Thriller Dance, and enjoying a monstrous good evening! Poverty Simulation
The Bucks County Opportunity Council will host a Poverty Simulation on Saturday, Nov. 2 from 9 a.m. to noon at Our Lady of Mount Carmel’s St. Mary’s Hall, 235 E. State St., in Doylestown. The simulation will provide guests with an opportunity to assume the role of a low-income family member living on a limited budget. Halloween Parade and Boo Boulevard
The Collegeville Rotary’s 66th annual Halloween Parade and Boo Boulevard afterparty returns on Wednesday, Oct. 30 at 6:30 p.m. In addition to having kids and pets be part of the parade, the Rotary is inviting adults, families, their friends, local businesses, and groups to take part in the event.
