The Historical Society of Montgomery County is seeking a full-time Executive Director to be the next face and chief spokesperson of the society.
The deadline to apply is Dec. 13. The compensation package is negotiable, depending on experience and qualifications, at between $60,000 to $80,000 annually with some benefits. The Executive Director is the face and chief spokesperson of HSMC.

According to the position summary on its website, the Executive Director is the chief executive and administrator of the Historical Society, and is responsible to the President and Board of Trustees for a full range of activities.
These activities include identification of needs/implementation of goals; supervision of staff; management of the Historic Montgomery Cemetery; monitoring and implementation of events; motivation and supervision of volunteers; membership development; coordination of publications; financial development; general bookkeeping; website and social media development; and liaison with the Society’s Board of Trustees, members, business community, and other non-profit organizations.
