Morris Road to Lantern Lane are currently closed to traffic in both directions

UPDATE: 10:32 a.m.: The roadway will continue to be closed eight to ten hours, according to ReadyMontco alerts, as PECO is repairing poles and wire connections.

Penllyn-Blue Bell Pike is currently closed between Morris Road and Lantern Lane in Whitpain Township due to a vehicle crash, according to ReadyMontco alerts.

With first responders on the scene, authorities ask that drivers use caution in the area. According to Montgomery County Emergency Dispatch, a call went out around 8:41 a.m. Friday.

Currently responding to the scene are Centre Square Fire Company, the Community Ambulance Association of Ambler, and the Second Alarmers Rescue Squad, substation 385 on Wentz Road in Whitpain.

It is not yet known how many vehicles are involved in the accident, nor the condition of drivers or passengers. Wissahickon Now will update this article as more information is made available.
