Let’s face it. Time isn’t always kind. While we may feel young at heart, there are often signs of aging we wish weren’t there. For the past 12 years, Strella Medical Aesthetics in Lower Gwynedd has helped area residents turn back those hands of time. As they are about to celebrate a first full year under new ownership, the locally owned and operated small business hopes to help more members of the community feel like themselves again.
“Our aim is for patients to leave with a sense of rejuvenation, both physically and mentally, as well as a deeper understanding of their skin and how to maintain its health,” said owner Kruti Shah. “Whether it is a first visit or a continued journey with us, we want patients to feel supported and excited about their self-care routine, knowing they’re in expert hands.”
Shah took over the business in November of 2023, though the initial location opened over 12 years ago. Shah, however, was no stranger to the industry.
“With years of expertise and a deep passion for skincare and wellness, her goal has been to create a space where patients can receive personalized, results-driven care using the latest advancements in aesthetics,” said MaryBeth Fox, a licensed aesthetician and certified laser technician, who works at the Lower Gwynedd-based business. “Under her leadership, the business focuses on delivering the highest standard of treatment to every patient.”
The local business’ staff consists of two estheticians and three experienced nurses.
“Each member of our team brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their role, ensuring that patients receive top-notch care and results,” said Shah. “Collectively, our team’s extensive experience and commitment to excellence help provide a comprehensive and effective approach to patient care.”
Strella Aesthetics offers a variety of services to help clients feel and look their very best. Some of the specialized treatments include:
“Our goal is to provide a full spectrum of non-invasive and minimally invasive treatments that deliver real results while prioritizing patient comfort and safety,” said Shah.
Beyond a more youthful appearance, Shah said she hopes to bring those in Lower Gwynedd and its surrounding communities a way to feel as beautiful on the outside as they do on the inside.
“What we hope to offer patients is a holistic approach to beauty and wellness, where they not only see visible improvements in their skin, but also feel more confident and empowered in their self-care journey,” said Shah. “Our goal is to provide personalized treatments that can cater to each patient’s unique needs.”
The new owner said she wants those that visit their office to feel positive about self-care.
“We strive to be a trusted resource, offering expertise, state-of-the-art technologies, and a welcoming environment that fosters both immediate results and sustainable self-care practices,” she said. “Ultimately, we hope to help patients look and feel their best, inside and out.”
For those new to the world of aesthetics, Shah said that her team’s goal is to put you at ease and work with you to discuss your concerns and hopes.
“For a first appointment, we begin with an in-depth consultation to understand the individual’s skin concerns, health history, and aesthetic goals,” she said. “This allows us to recommend the most suitable treatments tailored to their needs.”
She said nerves are typically calmed by the staff’s focused ability to walk a patient through various options for treatment.
“We prioritize comfort and transparency,” said Shah. “Patients are walked through each step of the process, whether it is discussing skincare options, explaining how a treatment works, or answering any questions. Our team is committed to providing a relaxing atmosphere, ensuring every visitor feels valued and confident about the care they are receiving.”
Shah said that knowledge can go a long way in caring for your own skin.
“We emphasize education, helping patients understand how to care for their skin at home, along with suggestions for future treatments that may help them achieve their long-term beauty or wellness goals,” she said. “Overall, visitors can expect to leave feeling rejuvenated and well-informed about their skincare journey.”
The owner, excited to celebrate her first year leading the organization, said it really is all about feeling your best self.
“We hope every patient walks away feeling refreshed, confident, and truly cared for,” said Shah. “Beyond the immediate results of their treatment, we want patients to feel empowered by their skincare choices, knowing they’ve taken a positive step toward their overall well-being.”
