Whether it's the chocolatey Thin Mints or the sweet, caramel-filled Samoas, every bite of a Girl Scout Cookie is a delicious treat that keeps you coming back for more.
Even the Whitpain Township Police Department got in on these indulgences.
On Monday, April 1, Girl Scout Troop 7464 visiting the Whitpain Township Police Department to take a tour of the station and, of course, drop off some cookies for the local men in uniform.
“They brought us several boxes of Girl Scout cookies,” Lieutenant Frank Franco said.
Lieutenant Franco and Officer Jonathan Gallagher helped lead the tour of more than 15 girls and their chaperones. It was part of a community initiative from St. Helena School, 1499 Dekalb Pike, Blue Bell.
The police officers let the children climb inside their patrol vehicles for a look inside a cop car, demonstrated how drones worked and took a group photo from a bird’s eye view from the parking lot.
The one area of the police station that stole the show was the jail cells.
“We're always happy to do the station tours for a group of kid,” said Lieutenant Franco. “They loved it. Of course, they loved the jail cells, like usual. They had a great time getting in and out of the police car, front seat, back seat, checking out the equipment. Yeah, they had a great time. Lots of good and interesting questions.”
