Emergency crews rescued multiple people who were trapped inside their vehicle after a multi-car accident occurred in the area of Skippack Pike and Penllyn Blue Bell Pike in Whitpain Township on Wednesday at 9:17 p.m., Montgomery County Dispatch reported.
The accident involved a white Dodge SUV and dark blue four-door BMW. Two people were trapped inside the BMW and needed to be evacuated from the car by emergency crews. Both vehicles suffered heavy front-end damage. The cars were located on Skippack Pike in the area of Panache Woodfire Grill and were towed shortly after the accident.
Community Ambulance Association of Ambler and Plymouth Community Ambulance Association transported three people to Einstein Hospital.
Emergency crews from Second Alarms Rescue Squad, and Centre Square Fire Company were on scene.
Whitpain Police closed Skippack Pike at Union Meeting Road.
Injuries suffered included their head, ankle, knee and side, according to reports.
