The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) recently announced that a pipe replacement project is scheduled on several state highways in Montgomery County, including Lower Gwynedd Township.
On Tuesday, April 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Evans Road will be closed between Plymouth Road and Sumneytown Pike in Lower Gwynedd Township.
During the closure, motorists will be directed to use Sumneytown Pike, U.S. 202 (Dekalb Pike), and Plymouth Road.
Local access will be maintained. Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling near the work areas because backups and delays will occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.

Pothole Repair
PennDOT also announced that maintenance crews will be working on 30 state highways this week to repair deteriorated pavement in Philadelphia, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties.
