Calling all show cars!

Get ready to rev your engines — the North Montco Education Foundation has announced its Fourth Annual Car Show, happening Saturday, May 3, on the grounds of the North Montco Technical Career Center, 1265 Sumneytown Pike, Lansdale, (rain date: Sunday, May 4).

The car show runs from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. (with check-in from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.)

This highly anticipated event is not only North Montco’s biggest fundraiser of the year, but also an incredible chance for car lovers, local businesses, and sponsors to showcase over 100 dazzling vehicles, trucks, and jaw-dropping demo equipment.

Check out the exciting new vehicles from A&C Chevrolet, J.L. Freed, and North Penn Imports while at the show!

While here, test your skills on the fan-favorite H&K Simulator and experience the sheer power and scale of the machinery operated by the pros at Allen Myers.

And don’t forget to bring the kids! They’ll love getting up close to the Towamencin Township firetruck, sparking dreams of becoming one of tomorrow’s firefighters.

Car Show Categories, Prizes, Raffle Baskets

The event will feature six “Best Of” categories: Street Rods, Antique-Classic-Survivor, Muscle Cars, Trucks, Imports, and Custom/Modified Bodies. NMTCC’s welding, auto body, and machining students will craft the first and second place trophies for the show.

About North Montco Technical Career Center

NMTCC provides 23 programs of study for students in grades 9 through 12 from the Methacton, North Penn, Perkiomen Valley, Souderton Area, and Wissahickon School Districts. Students can enroll in high-demand programs such as Carpentry, Machining, Culinary Arts, and Diesel Technology while still attending high school. North Montco prepares students with the relevant skills and technology needed for essential careers in today’s workforce. Over 130 students are currently participating in career work experiences or pre-apprenticeships with local industries, with many continuing to work with these employers post-graduation.

Our industry partners support us by serving on occupational committees and volunteering as judges during competitive events, fostering a valuable connection between the school and the community.

Supporting Education and Career Development

Proceeds from the car show benefit the North Montco Education Foundation, which was established five years ago. The funds raised help create opportunities for students to develop skills aligned with their career aspirations. Teachers are also encouraged to apply for Innovation

Grants sponsored by the Car Show to enhance classroom learning. Recent grant projects have included:

  • A trip for the Protective Services program to the 9/11 Memorial and Museum.
  • The use of AI in the classroom to enhance learning.
  • Developing new Mechatronics models for hands-on learning.

Last year, the Automotive and Auto Body/Collision Repair class received funding to convert a 1995 Toyota Corolla into a fully electric vehicle. The students are excited to highlight their completed project at this year’s event!

The foundation also supports students by covering the costs of industry-recognized certifications, licenses, hand tools, personal protective equipment, software, and participation in SkillsUSA and the Future Health Professions (HOSA) competitions. These national organizations give students the chance to develop leadership skills, meet peers with similar career goals, and compete at district, state, and national levels.
