A Horsham resident is facing a felony charge stemming from a shoplifting incident in Upper Dublin Township, according to police.
Jamee A Avallone, 39, of the 200 block of Winchester Drive in Horsham, has been charged with retail theft after attempting to take items from CVS, located at 1658 Susquehanna Road in Upper Dublin Township, according to police.
A manager from CVS contacted police after observing a female wearing an orange sports bra and shorts entered the store carrying a black bag. The female walked around the store, taking items off the shelf, then attempted to return the items for cash, according to police.
After being denied exchanging the items, Avallone left the store, with a brown CVS shopping bag, crossing the point of sale without paying for items, according to police.
According to police, it recovered inside the brown bag: one bottle of Nexxus conditioner ($19.99) and one bottle of Nexxus shampoo ($19.99), in the total amount of $39.98.
A police officer located Avallone in the back of the parking lot near the CVS Pharmacy. According to police, she was in possession of the shampoo and conditioner bottles, and was subsequently placed under arrest.
Avallone has multiple prior convictions for retail theft, which elevates this incident to a felony charge.
