Emergency crews respond to scene after driver brings down light pole in car accident in Upper Dublin

Police and fire crews responded to the scene at the 1500 block of Norristown Road in Upper Dublin Township after a driver collided with a light pole, according to Montgomery County Dispatch.

According to officials, a male was driving in the area of Tennis Avenue and Morgan Drive when it made contact with a light pole, bringing the light pole down in the middle of the road. Live wires were also brought down to ground level in the accident, according to Montgomery County Dispatch. 

The impact triggered the car's airbags to deploy. Emergency services were called to the scene, but the extent of injuries is unknown at this time. 

The driver was able to get himself out of the vehicle.
